Process For Consideration by the Village of Lisle: A History of Listening & Compromising:
December 2023
Benet initially submitted plans to the Village of Lisle requesting improvements to the campus including renovations to the stadium and improvements to the parking lot on the north side of campus.
April 2024
Benet amends its pending request and removes the stadium renovation proposal and requests Plan Commission approval for parking lot improvements only.
June 2024
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Lisle approves the improvement plan for the north parking lot on campus.
February 2025
Benet submits plans to the Village of Lisle requesting approval to modernize and improve the stadium and athletic fields. The revised plan incorporated changes based on the feedback received from the initial plan developed and reviewed in 2023/2024.
March 2025
Benet leadership meets with neighbors to review the revised plan for improvements to the stadium and athletic fields.
Highlights of some of the changes Benet incorporated based on the community’s input and suggestions:
- The scale and size of the stadium and bleachers were reduced.
- The lighting plan and proposed pole locations were adjusted to mitigate potential impacts.
- The location of the proposed structures in the stadium were reconfigured.
- The proposed parking lot expansion on the north side of the school was eliminated.
- There is no longer a right-out exit onto Maple Avenue to the west of the stadium.
June 2025
Before formal hearings begin, Benet leadership meets with neighbors to review and discuss modifications to the improvement plans, including reviewing changes made since the last informal listening session.
Planning & Zoning Commission Review
The Village of Lisle’s Plan Commission is a key advisory body to the Village Board of Trustees. The Plan Commission is responsible for conducting public hearings and reviewing zoning requests. After deliberation, the Commission votes and provides a recommendation to the Trustees.
After reviewing Benet’s request and hearing testimony from all interested parties at six public hearings spanning more than 20 hours, the Plan Commission voted 6-1 on November 19, 2025, to recommend approval of the project.

After six hearings, on November 19th the Village of Lisle Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6–1 in favor of recommending Benet’s proposal to the Village Board. We sincerely appreciate the Commission’s thorough review of Benet’s plans and their recognition of the adjustments and commitments we made in response to ongoing community feedback.
With this recommendation, the request moves to the final step, consideration before the Village Board of Trustees. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 12, at 7 p.m., and we look forward to engaging with the trustees and the community.
